Grid Drawing	Developing Student incorrectly created a grid on his/her final artwork and incorrectly drew the final portrait.	Skilled Student somewhat correctly created a grid on his/her final artwork and used it to somewhat correctly draw the final portrait.	Accomplished Student correctly created a grid on his/her final artwork and used it to draw the final portrait.
Color Schemes & Value	Developing Student made random color choices that deterred from the artwork. Student shows lack of understanding.	Skilled Student used a separate color scheme for a few of the sections, but had trouble understanding the proper use.	Accomplished Student used a separate color for all sections of the portrait. Student used a range of values to show how light and shadow work together with cool and warm colors.
Use of Class Time	Developing Student did not make good use of class time. He/she needed many reminders to stay on task and not disrupt others.	Skilled Student made use of class time by working on his/her project and not disrupting others.
