Audience	Exceeds Author has fully considered the needs of the audience, making sure that the book connects to the readers' lives. It is age appropriate, and fully engages the child.	Meets Author has partially considered the needs of the audience. Book mostly connects to the readers' lives. It is nearly age appropriate.	Approaching Author has not considered the needs of the audience. The book occasionally connects to the readers' lives. It is not or may not be entirely age appropriate.	Below Author has no connection to his/her audience. Book is not engaging or age appropriate.
