Content is well organized. Topic is discussed thoroughly. Writing responds appropriately and fulfills all requirements of the assignment.

Vocabulary below level. Insufficient use of variety of vocabulary to support topic. Words used incorrectly and out the writer's control (i.e. obvious use of translator)

Some comprehensibility. Several words used incorrectly. Does not use much variety in words, or chooses below level average vocabulary.

Mostly comprehensible. Uses a variety of level appropriate vocabulary. Few words used out of control.

Comprehensible throughout. Uses a large variety of level approriate or advanced vocabulary. The writer is in complete control of the vocabulary.
