Creating Story Problems This rubric is for second grade students who will create their own story problems for their classmates to solve. Rubric Code: HC2BB By kkremer Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Math Type: Assignment Grade Levels: K-5

Creating Story Problems
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Story Problem	Poor Story problem is illegible and does not clearly state information or the problem	Fair Story problem leaves out one or two pieces of information required for solving the problem	Good Story problem is clearly written, giving the reader all information that is required to solve the problem
Talk bubbles	Poor Student did not include talk bubbles in their story problem	Fair Talk bubbles are present but do not correspond to the story problem	Good Talk bubbles are present and support the problem, making it more clear
Picture	Poor The picture does not correspond to the problem the student posed (the number of presents and parcels does not match the written story problem)	Fair Student's picture leaves out one element that the story problem involves	Good Student creates a picture that clearly represents the story problem written
