Grammar/Punctuation	Excellent 0-1 errors in grammar and punctuation. Conventions are accurately used	Good 2-5 errors in grammar and punctuation. Most conventions are used correctly.	Fair 6-10 errors in grammar and punctuation. Some conventions are used correctly.	Poor 10 or more errors in grammar and punctuation. More conventions are incorrect than are correct.
Content/Topic/Ideas	Excellent Content is backed with accurate information. Ideas are unique and plausible. Topic is appropriate. Student goes beyond required criteria.	Good 2 of the 3 requires exceed expectations, but needs more on one requirement. Student demonstrates mostly completed requirements.	Fair 1 of the 3 requirements meet expectations. Student struggles to demonstrate concepts. Needs more research or does not connect material with concept enough.	Poor None of the requirements are met and student does not have grasp on concepts. Does not connect material with concept at all.
Organization	Excellent Student keeps readers attention with organized and logical patterns. Sentences flow and paragraphs are correctly constructed.	Good Student keeps readers attention somewhat. Less than 3 issues of organization are evident, and sentences flow with minimal mistakes.	Fair Student has more than 4 organization issues, and sentences do not flow together nicely. Still readable, but needs minor revisions.	Poor Student has more than 5 organization issues, and sentences are not organized. Story is too disorganized to understand what is going on. Major revisions needed.
