Third Grade PowerPoint Quiz This is the rubric for the project based quiz to finalize a unit that gives information on how to use the basic and advanced features of Microsoft PowerPoint Rubric Code: H943W8 By kohara1975 Draft Public Rubric Subject: Computers Type: Assessment Grade Levels: K-5

PowerPoint Quiz Assessment to see if students can use specific features of PowerPoint.
	Poor Did not complete any of the intended objectives. 0 pts	Fair Only part of the instruction were followed. 1 pts	Good Did all of the instructions. 3 pts
File Management Is your file named correctly and on your flashdrive?	Poor The assignment isn't on the Flashdrive.	Fair The assignment is either named correctly but in the wrong place, or the file is named incorrectly on the flashdrive.	Good File is named correctly on the flashdrive.
Slide 1 Student's ability to build a slide from a set of instructions.	Poor Student does not have a title, subtitles, or bullets.	Fair Student is missing one or two of the following title, subtitles, or bullets.	Good Student has all of the components for the first slide that include a title, 3 subtitles, and bullets for each subtitle.
Slide 2 There is a title and at least 3 properties that are listed that can be used to describe matter.	Poor Neither the title nor at least 3 properties are listed .	Fair Student has a no title or there are less than 3 properties of matter listed. (The properties must be correct for credit).	Good Student has a title and 3 or more correctly identified properties that can be used to describe matter.
Slide 3 There is a title and a list of at least 3 examples of how matter can be changed chemically.	Poor No title or less than three examples of how matter can be changed chemically or the examples are not correct.	Fair Student has a no title or there are less than 3 example of how matter can be changed chemically (The examples must be correct for credit).	Good Student has a title and 3 or more correctly identified examples of how matter can be changed chemically.
Slide 4 The student can use the correct font style.	Poor No title or less than three examples of how matter can be changed physically or the examples are not correct.	Fair Student has a no title or there are less than 3 example of how matter can be changed physically (The examples must be correct for credit).	Good Student has a title and 3 or more correctly identified examples of how matter can be changed physically.
Slide 5 The title and paragraph are both a specific font size.	Poor There is no title, picture example of matter, or a text box that describes the example by the properties it contains.	Fair One or two components are missing. Either the title, picture example of matter, or a text box that describes the example by the properties it contains	Good The slide has all components which are a title, picture example of matter, and a text box that describes the example by the properties it contains
Slide show Theme The student demonstrates ability to apply a theme throughout the presentation.	Poor There is no theme present.	Fair The theme only applies to some of the slides, or the theme makes the presentation hard to read.	Good All slides have a theme that makes it easy to read and understand the presentation.
Text All the titles and text in the slides are Comic Sans MS.	Poor There is no change in text style.	Fair Only some of the text has been changed to the Comic Sans MS text style.	Good All text on each slide has been changed to Comic Sans MS.
Titles All titles are Bold.	Poor Not all titles are in Bold.	Fair Only some of the titles are in bold. This is less than five but more than zero in Bold.	Good All titles are Bold.
Font Color Students have changed the font color for all text on the slides.	Poor No color change has been made to the text, it is the default black.	Fair Only some text colors have been changed or the text can't be seen because of the them or background.	Good All text has been changed to a new color and can be seen clearly because it is different from the theme or background colors.
Transitions Students will add a transition to each slide.	Poor No transitions are present in the presentation.	Fair Only some slides have transitions.	Good All slides have transitions that work properly.
