Understand Concepts

Students will create a landscape of their choice demonstrating the concepts taught.

Below Expectations

Students did not use size or placement in creating their foreground, middle ground and background. Objects are floating on the paper. There is either no or just 1 example of overlapping in the work.
Meets Expecatations

Students used size but the placement of foreground, middle ground and background were not placed correctly. Students work shows only two spacial areas F,M, or B). Students had placement correct, but the sizes did not reflect understanding. Overlapping is not clear or is only in one area.
Exceeds Expectations

Students used size and placement correctly, showing foreground, middle ground, & background. Objects in the foreground are large and objects in the background are small. Students show overlapping in their work of at least two objects.

Meets Expecatations

Students used the black marker to outline and add some detail to areas. Students used the watercolors to add light colors to their landscape areas.
Exceeds Expectations

Students used the black markers to add much detail to their landscape in the foreground. students applied watercolors carefully to all areas of their work, keeping the colors light (transparent).
