Reflection	Poor Response show little or no thought or effort.	Fair Response shows casual thought and effort.	Good Response is reflective, purposeful, shows critical thought and thoroughness.
Ideas and Content	Poor Response provides few or no details within the response, and/or fails to support ideas with examples from the text.	Fair Response is written with an understanding of the text, yet only provides a minimal amount of evidence/examples to support ideas.	Good Response shows understanding of stated and unstated meaning, is connected to other ideas and content, and provides several examples for support.
Organization and Mechanics	Poor Response includes incomplete sentences and/or grammatical/spelling errors throughout.	Fair Response includes complete sentences, but contains grammatical/spelling errors throughout.	Good Response is written in complete coherent sentences with no grammatical/spelling errors.
