Excellent
There is an abundance of of interesting and relevant information; the student(s) has clearly demonstrated excellent knowledge of the material, including key concepts and vocabulary words.
Organization/Chapter Summary
Poor
The presentation is not well organized; very few parts of the chapter were covered.
Fair
The presentation shows some level of organization, but can be hard to follow at times; most of the chapter was covered.
Good
The presentation follows a logical order and is fairly well organized; nearly all parts of the chapter were covered.
Excellent
The presentation is very neat, logically organized, and easy to follow; all parts of the chapter were included and well-summarized.
Preparedness/Presentation
Poor
The student(s) does not at all seem prepared to present and does not seem to understand the material.
Fair
The students(s) is somewhat prepared, but relies too heavily on notes; the presenter(s) demonstrates a decent level of understanding, but it is clear that more rehearsal was required.
Good
The student seems fairly well prepared, but may have needed a little more planning and preparation; the presenter(s) demonstrates a good level of understanding.
Excellent
The student(s) is completely prepared and uses notes sparingly instead of simply reading them; the presenter(s) clearly has an excellent understanding of the material.
Visual/Handout
Poor
The student(s) did not provide any sort of visual and/or handout.
Fair
A very basic visual and/or handout was used, and did not add very much to the overall presentation.
Good
The student(s) made fairly good use of handouts/visuals, and they helped aid the overall presentation.
Excellent
The student(s) used excellent visuals to help demonstrate and/or provided the class with a well-designed handout.
Timing
Poor
The presentation either lasts only a few minutes.
Fair
The presentation is too short (5-10 minutes) or far too long.
Good
The presentation is within a reasonable time range (10-15 minutes, or goes a little over the time limit).
Excellent
The presentation is well-timed, within a span of roughly 20 minutes.
Audience Role
Poor
The student(s) was disrespectful during others' presentations and did not pay attention and/or distracted their classmates.
Fair
The student(s) displayed an acceptable level of behavior, but did not show a very high level of respect or interest in other students' presentations.
Good
The student(s) was fairly well-behaved, respectful, and attentive during their classmates' presentations.
