Summary Section	Needs Improvement Student provides summary of article or details relating to the author's opinion.	Fair Student provides some detail and summary, but information is somewhat vague or lacking.	Good Student provides relevant details and concise summary of the author's information.
Presentation	Needs Improvement Student turned in work that was not proofread and or incorrect format.	Fair Student turned in assignment by due date in proper format, but lacking proofing.	Good Student turned in assignment on time, with clear writing, evidence of proofreading.
Opinion	Needs Improvement Students presents an opinion.	Fair Student presents an opinion and some support.	Good Student presents an opinion and adequate support.
Style (Writing, Grammar, etc.)	Needs Improvement Evidence of some awareness of proper writing style and grammar rules. Major errors are present.	Fair Successful execution of grammar and style with several minor errors, or one to two major errors.	Good Student successfully communicates message with accurate grammar and good style. Minor errors may still need to be addressed.
