The student may grasp the concept with a somewhat accurate understanding of what dynamics are.	Good The student shows competency. The student has an accurate understanding what dynamics are.
Differentiation The display of the difference between softs and louds.	Poor The student plays at one volume level with very little differentiation of volume.	Fair The student plays at different volume levels although it may not be associated with the correct dynamic marking.	Good The student differentiates volume levels according to the dynamic marking.
Execution The display of the student's ability to accurately perform dynamics.	Poor The student does not execute proper dynamics. The piece is one volume level and shows no effort in executing dynamics.	Fair The student shows effort in executing dynamics although they may not be associated with the correct dynamic marking.
