Art/labeling information Did the students produce a neat and detailed drawing to help explain the machine? Was there a description included with each step?	Poor Either the Artwork or description of machine was completely missing.	Fair The artwork was sloppy and difficult to read.and/or/ labeling and description of machine was not well detailed.	Good Some effort was put into the artwork but the labeling was incorrect or unclear.	Excellent Artwork is neat and detailed. The labeling of each part of the machine was accurate and clear.
Time How long did the machine take to perform the entire task?	Poor Machine took 5 seconds or less to complete the task.	Fair Machine took between 5 and 7 seconds to complete the task.	Good Machine took less than 10 seconds but more than 7 to complete the task.	Excellent Machine took 10 seconds or more to complete the task.
Product Did the students produce a workable device that reflected their design?	Poor The device does not work and the desired outcome is not obtainable without restructuring the entire machine.	Fair The device could actually work and complete the desired outcome with a few major alterations.	Good The device could actually work and complete the descired outcome with a few alterations.	Excellent The device produced actually worked and completed the desired outcome.
Collabroation Did the students work together with minimal teacher support and collaborate appropriately?	Poor Required extensive help and argued within the group.	Fair Required more than a little help and argued some within the group.	Good Required some help and collaborated mostly.	Excellent Required little to no help and worked well together.
