Acceptable Sorts out objects with slight hesitation, one mix -up.	Developing Seems confused by the task, mixes up 2 or more objects.	Unacceptable Has all types of cards in pile, no real clue of what object is to be classified as.
Sorts out Shapes Xiao will be asked to sort the 6 objects into groups of triangles circles and squares.	Target Is able to sort out all shapes with no problems or mix-ups	Acceptable Sorts shapes with slight hesitation, mixes up only one	Developing Seems confused by the task mixes up 2 or more objects.	Unacceptable Has all types of shapes in pile, very confused by classroom objects.
Sorts out objects- soft vs hard Xiao will be able to verbally and nonverbally identify the difference between soft and hard by using her fingers- making two groups- one group of hard items, one group of soft items.
