5 pts

Students should write professionally and coherently, as they would when presenting reports in their workplace. This requires using correct spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation. Each of the three required sections should be labeled with an appropriately formatted heading. Headings should be the same font and size as your writing, but bolded and/or underlined.

Excellent

Little to no spelling or grammar errors (1-2). Accurate punctuation and format is used throughout the summary.
Good

A few spelling, punctuation, or grammar errors (3-5). Format is mostly correct.
Fair

Several grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors throughout, making it difficult to read (5-10). Sections are not labeled or separated in any way.
Poor

Substantial grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors that make it in-coherent to read. (more than 10 errors).
RATING
Length

Excellent

The executive summary was at least one-page in length.
Good

The executive summary was 75-100% of one page in length.
Fair

The executive summary was 40-75% of one page in length.
