Business Plan Oral Presentation Rubric 
The following slides are needed as a minimum for your power-point presentation: (1)Cover page, (2) Introduction, (3) Table of Contents, (4) Mission Statement, (5) Vision Statement, (6) Logo- can be on every page as a graphic, (7) Executive Summary, (8) General Company Description, (9) Products and Service Plan, (10) Marketing Plan, (11) Management Plan, (12) Operating Plan, (13) Financial Plan, (14) Closing, (15) Any works cited pages if you quoted another person’s words or copied graphics. Time limit for oral presentation is five to ten min. Your tone should be persuasive, as you must convince the financial institution to lend you the money for your business venture. You must be in professional business dress as explained in class. Graphics should be used for your presentation.

Shows a full understanding of topic. Can explain the business plan in great details All of the above slides are present in the power point presentation. Student uses graphics to help support their information.
Fair

Shows average understanding of topic. Can explain the plan with some details. Two or more of the above slides is not present in the power point presentation, and or graphics are not used.
Poor

Does not seem to understand the topic very well. Student can not explain the plan or does so with very limited knowledge. More than three of the above slides is not present in the power point presentation, and or graphics are not used.
Preparedness

Student's do not read from their slides or paper and shows knowledge of their subject area. Student is within the stated time limit of 5 to 10 Min.

Great

Students show that they are completely prepared and have rehearsed before the presentation. Student does not read from their slides. Time limit is met.
Fair

Students seem to be pretty prepared but maybe should have rehearsed more. Some reading from the slides is present. Time limit is either under or over stated amount above.
Poor

Students do not seem prepared to present. Student constantly reads from slides, time limit is under or over stated amount above.
Posture and Eye Contact

Student displays confidence and competence in their presentation. Professional Business attire is worn.

Great

Students stand up straight, look confident, speak clearly, and make eye contact during the presentation. Professional Business attire is worn as stated in class.
Fair

Students stand up straight, and give some eye contact. Student lacks some confidence in presenting, and student is dressed somewhat in professional business attire.
Poor

Students slouch, little or no eye contact. Student is not confident in their presentation, and is not in professional business attire.
Individual Presentation

Students need to answer all questions in a professional way and answer all questions appropriately related to their business plan.

Great

All questions are answered in a professional way and answerd appropriately as it relates to their business plan.
Fair

Only some questions are answered in a professional way and only some questions are answerd appropriately as it relates to their business plan.
Poor

Student can not answer many questions as it relates to their business plan, questions answered are not done so in a professional manner.
