Came to US when 11 years old. Spent 3 years in Bilingual classes. Still struggles to translate Spanish to English in her mind in order to communicate.

Transition to English difficult. Americans are more relaxed and verbal. Vietnamese are silent which is an expression of respect. Addressing someone by name is disrespectful.
