Students will create a special interest magazine in order to review article writing techniques. Additionally, students will be introduced to photojournalism, design, and advertising concepts that they must use when creating their magazine.

Journalist does not provide the required number of articles: one news story, one feature, one editorial. Content of articles does not follow journalistic structure or style nor does it fit the Mills target audience.
Meets Expectation
Four articles are included (News, Sports, Editorial, Feature).
Each article follows writing techniques appropriate to article type. Content is mostly relevant to Mills audience.
Exceeds Expectation
All four article types are included, and it is immediately apparent to readers which article is which type (News, Feature, Sports, Editorial). The articles are well-written, relevant to the target audience, timely, and thoughtful.

The publication has the required advertisements and those advertisements include a headline, introduction, body and a call to action. The ads also fit well with the content of the magazine and appeal to the target audience.

There are too many distracting errors in grammar and/or mechanics for the content to be published.
