Science facts Score x 2	Excellent Student correctly uses and applies at least 4 key terms and concepts to the project.	Good Student correctly uses 3 or more key terms and concepts in the project.	Fair Student only uses 2 key terms correctly in the project.	Needs Improvement Student uses 1 or 0 terms correctly in project.
Application/Model Score x 2	Excellent Student chooses a relevant and creative model to demonstrate one of the electricity principles. Model clearly relates to the facts presented and engages the observer.	Good Student chooses a model that correctly demonstrates one of the electricity principles. Model is accurate and is connect to project facts.	Fair Student makes a model that is vaguely connected to one of the electricity principles. Model has some inaccuracies and does not show strong connections to project facts.	Needs Improvement Student model is unrelated to project facts and has multiple inaccuracies. No model present.
Design and Creativity Enter description	Excellent Lab board presentation is colorful, includes photos, engaging to the observer, and clearly presents the finding of the project. Presentation demonstrates clear thought and process understanding.	Good Lab board presentation is colorful, engaging to the observer, and presents the findings of the project. Presentation shows a good understanding of the process.	Fair Lab board presentation is not colorful and disorganized. The observer may/may not be engaged. Presentation shows a weak understanding of the process.	Needs Improvement Lab board lacks color, organization, and an understanding of the process. No lab board present.
