Public Speaking Presentation What's Your Cause Presentation This rubric will be used to assess the four types of public speaking exercises performed by students. Rubric Code: GXW948B By giraldi Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Communication Type: Project Grade Levels: 9-12

Public Speaking This rubric will be used to assess student presentations.
	Incomplete Student did not complete the requirements of the task. 2 pts	Poor Student met only parts of the requirements of the task. 4 pts	Fair Student met the basic standards of the task. 6 pts	Good Student clearly met the standards of the task. 8 pts	Excellent Students thoroughly completed the standards of the task. 10 pts
Overall Audiance Interaction 10 % Speaker made a great connection with the crowd	Incomplete Student did not engage or interact with the audience.	Poor Student did not engage or interact with the audience enough.	Fair The student presenter did an ok job of engaging and interacting with the audience. It could have been better.	Good The presenter did a job engaging and interacting with the audience.	Excellent Student did an excellent job at engaging and interacting with the audience.
Body Movement & Body Language 10 % The entire class can clearly hear the speaker.	Incomplete The presenter did not demonstrated body language/movement and eye contact connection with the audience.	Poor The presenter demonstrated poor body language/movement and eye contact connection with the audience.	Fair The presenter demonstrated fair body language/movement and eye contact connection with the audience.	Good The presenter demonstrated satisfactory body language/movement and eye contact connection with the audience.	Excellent The presenter demonstrated excellent body language and movement. The presenter also had a great eye contact connection with the audience.
Public Speaking 10 % The material presented by the speaker is organized and there was use of the helpful Public Speaking phrases	Incomplete	Poor The presenter delivered a poor presentation that wasn't clear, organized or informative.	Fair The presenter delivered a fair presentation that was clear, organized and informative.	Good The presenter delivered a good presentation that was clear, organized and informative.	Excellent The presenter delivered an excellent presentation that was clear, organized and informative.
