Outside Reading: PowerPoint Student is to construct a PowerPoint that identifies and describes the genre, setting, characters, and conflict of the book they read. Above and Beyond Student correctly identifies the genre and describes how their work fits within the given genre.
Setting	UH OH Student did not include the setting in their PowerPoint.	Getting There Student describes the setting but does so incorrectly missing key details.	Where You Should Be Student accurately describes the setting of the book.	Above and Beyond Student accurately describes the setting of the book including all locations and places.
Charcters	UH OH Student did not include characters in their PowerPoint.	Getting There Student accurately describes the main characters.	Where You Should Be Student accurately describes the main characters. Student describes some but not all of the supporting characters.	Above and Beyond Student accurately describes every character including supporting characters and distinguishes the protagonist(s) and antagonist(s).
Conflict	UH OH Student does not include Conflict in their PowerPoint.	Getting There Student identifies the main conflict but is missing the secondary conflicts.
