Dancer is unable to demonstrate a clear piece with very little interest. The dancers stayed in the same space and danced at one level. There was a great disconnect with Part 1.

Dancer was not able to create a piece with much interest. The use of levels, space and time were not demonstrated well within the piece. There was little connection with the partnership's Part 1.
Proficient
Dancer was able to create a 'new' piece that demonstrates many levels, proper use of space and time. Piece demonstrates clear intention seen from Part 1 and the original choreographer.

Dancer is able to create a 'new' piece with clear movement and with the original choreographer's intent. There is a clear recognizable movement, phrase or motif that is used from the original piece.

Dancer performs exercise by staying focused and utilizes strength and energy.

Dancer doesn't appear to have understood concept of the assignment.
Developing
Dancers demonstrates a weak movement phrase. Was not well planned or rehearsed.
Proficient
Dancer appears to be well rehearsed and gives a good performance. Characterization was demonstrated but not quite developed.
Exemplary
Dancer appears well rehearsed and gives a strong performance where the audience is moved with emotion.
Technical Skills
How was the Quality of the movement?
Unacceptable
Fails to include any dance technique.
Developing
Demonstrates with very little attention to detail (sickled feet, weak line...).
Proficient
Technique was somewhat clean but could have stretched feet a bit more, pushed to have cleaner lines.
Exemplary
Quality of movement was clean and very clear.

Did the dancers work WELL together?

Dancers did not work well together. Communication was weak and/or non-compliant.

Dancers made an attempt to communicate and rehearse but was not successful.
