Rough Draft The essay should be organized chronologically, the order in which the events occurred	Little Effort Organization unclear. Hard to follow, missing specific event that changed students perspective of life.	Attempted Organization is fairly well developed. Missing details that led up to the life changing event.	Good Effort Organization is good, rough draft was body of essay, exploding sentence included in body, Intro added after writing the body.	Exceeds Expectations Essay has Intro, body and conclusion.
TOPIC SENTENCE/HOOK	Little Effort Student did not work on Topic sentence or Hook	Attempted Student rewrote first sentence of autobiographical rough draft.	Good Effort Student wrote an intro/hook sentence that addressed the reader. explaining how they were before the incident.	Exceeds Expectations Student wrote an intro/hook sentence that hooked the reader. The reader wanted to know more about the student.
