Friendly Letter Writing Rubric 
Write a "Dear Hero" letter in friendly letter format. Use the All Write book pg. 121 as reference for required elements. Conventions count.

Writing has an easy flow, with strong varied sentence structures. There are varied and purposeful sentence beginnings.
Good

Grammar and usage is good, but does not always add to the style of the writing.

Sentence structures attempt to vary, as do sentence beginnings.
Fair

Errors in grammar and usage are very noticeable, frequent, and affect meaning.
Sentence structures are simplistic and monotonous. Need complexity, but they do make sense
Sentences do not make sense, ramble, begin the same way, and endlessly connect to others.
