Struggling Digresses from main idea, and has 3 or more sentences that do not stay on topic.
Organization	Mastery Restates writing prompt or question. Has used correct sequence (order).	Developing Restates writing prompt or question. Has 1 sentence that is not in sequence (order).	Emerging Attempts to restate writing prompt or question. Has 2 sentences that are not in sequence (order).	Struggling Does not restate writing prompt or question. Has 3 or more sentences that are not in sequence (order).
Word Choice	Mastery Uses 5 or more sequence words.	Developing Uses four sequence words.	Emerging Uses three sequence words.	Struggling Uses two or less sequence words.
