Rhyme Scheme	Poor Does not attempt to identify the rhyme scheme used in the poem or identifies the correct rhyme scheme in only 3 or less lines of the poem.	Fair Correctly identifies the rhyme scheme in 4-5 lines of the poem.	Good Correctly identifies the rhyme scheme in 6-8 lines of the poem.	Excellent Correctly identifies the rhyme scheme in all 9 lines of the poem.
Historical Connection	Poor Does not discuss any historical connection research strategies to apply to the poem.	Fair Discusses historical connection research strategies that are ineffective when applied to the poem.	Good Discusses one effective historical connection research strategy to apply to the poem.	Excellent Discusses two effective historical connection research strategies to apply to the poem.
