Canadian Road Trip
Road Trip
With a partner, plan a trip to six (6) key areas in either Canadian history, culture, or industry. Using Google Maps/Google Earth, plot out a logical trip that would take you to all these destinations (stay ground-based as much as possible) and provide a short description of why this place is important in Canadian history. Finally, groups will be asked to briefly present their trip to the class. Your trip should have a consistent theme, which can be chosen from the list below or you can come up with your own (it must be approved): 1) Prime Ministers 2) World War I 3) World War II 4) The Railroad 5) First Nations 6) Confederation 7) Sports (Hockey, Olympics, etc.) 8) Canadian Geography 9) Inventions & Inventors 10) Canadian Industry
