Nature	Do Over Student did not clearly write about their mother.	Fair Student wrote about their mother, but did not put too much thought into it.	Good Student expressed mother-like images in the poem
Syllables	Do Over Student did not seem to count syllables. Student did not have the syllable pattern 5-7-5.	Fair Student had some lines correct, but the entire poem did not have the syllable pattern 5-7-5.	Good Student's poem had the syllable pattern 5-7-5.
Neatness	Do Over Student's final copy lacked neatness and was difficult to read.	Fair Student's final copy needs some improvement. It was legible, but was not overly neat.	Good Student's final copy was legible and neat. Student took time to type the final copy.
