Painting: Landscape Project One 
Student's had to create a landscape that included correct composition. The composition must include a diagonal, asymmetry, and dividing composition into thirds. Student's had to include an "expressive" sky, land, and a tree with branches. Students will be graded on over all composition, blending of paint and colors, class spent in and out of the classroom, progress in their skill/design level, their critique and blog journal.

There are shadows and highlights on the tree trunk an branches. There is a cast shadow of the tree on the ground. Leaves do not hide the branches but you can still see the branches through the leaves. Top of tree has highlights and shadows.

Blog is very complete. It shows every stage of the artwork, including a written statement of what happened each day. This is an excellent documentation of the students process and gives the teacher a whole picture of the end result.

Blog was completed on time. The student posted both a written statement and an image. The daily written work did not speak to why students made changes or additions to their piece. But it is a good record.
