Use of Literary Elements Personification Sensory Imagery Onomatopoeia Personification Alliteration Hyperbole Metaphor Simile	Poor The student uses no Literary Elements in their poem.	Fair Students use 1-2 Literary Elements in their poem.	Good Students use 3 or more Literary Elements in their poem.
Visual Art	Poor The student did not include a visual image to accompany the poem.	Fair The student included some images, but they did not connect with the poem.	Good The student included images of his/her own visual art work, and possibly other online images, that illustrated and articulated the theme of the poem.
