Overhand: Consistent toss, striking the ball with an open palm & following through, ball is served to target consistently.
Spikeball: Hold ball in lego hand, strikes the ball with an open palm towards the net with control and consistency
PROFICIENT SKILL LEVEL
Underhand: Student makes contact of ball with the heel of hand. Weight transfer from back to front. Ball is served to target most of the time.
Overhand: Student can strike the ball with an open palm & following through. Ball is served to target most of the time
Spikeball: Hold ball in lego hand, strikes the ball with an open palm towards the net with control most of the time.
DEVELOPING SKILL LEVEL
Underhand: Student makes contact of ball with the knuckles. Weight transfer is unbalanced. The ball shoots straight instead of over the net.
Overhand: Student attempts to strike the ball but makes contact with fingers or heel. The ball does not make it over the net.
Spikeball: Student throws or drops the ball instead of striking.
BASIC SKILL LEVEL
Unable to get the ball over the net or on the net.

Spikeball: Contact is made with the ball and is hit to the net with control. Student has an athletic stance with balanced and weight transfer.

DEVELOPING SKILL LEVEL
Spikeball: Contact is made with ball, but the ball is not controlled or does not make contact with the net.
BASIC SKILL LEVEL
No contact is made with ball.

Setting: Student has proper stance, moves hands overhead in triangle position, elbow bent, even contact with finger pads. Ball is set consistently to target.
Bump: Student has correct hand placement, passes the ball with the platform of wrists, ball is passed to the intended target consistently.
Spikeball: Students can pass the ball with a onehanded bump or set with consistency and control.

BASIC SKILL LEVEL
Student attempts to pass using a bump or set, but has little to no control of the ball.
