Creating Your Own Greek God
	Poor 0 pts	Fair 3 pts	Good 7 pts	Excellent 10 pts
Name of NEW Greek God or Goddess	Poor Name of character is missing.	Fair Name of character is on project, but not easy to sight and has nothing to do with the character's abilities or there is no explanation of the name.	Good Name of Greek God or Goddess is prominent on project, and has some explanation or connection to character, but is not neat.	Excellent Name of character is prominent on the project, has strong explanation or connection to character and is neatly displayed.
Symbol and Title What animal or object represents your God or Goddess and briefly explain why. Examples: Zeus's Symbol is the Eagle or Thunderbolt. Athena's symbol is the owl.	Poor None are included.	Fair Symbol or Title is present, but not both.	Good Symbol and Title are both present but not complete or spelling and grammar errors interfere with understanding.	Excellent Symbol and Title are both present and complete with only minor grammar and spelling errors.
Three Characteristics Identify 3 characteristics that make the character unique; this can include accomplishments, special talents, "known for" qualities, events they are connected with, etc.	Poor No characteristics are listed.	Fair There are missing characteristics.	Good 3 characteristics are listed, but not all different, meaning some are repeated. All characteristics are listed, but not all are complete. All characteristics are included, but are not in a list.	Excellent 3 different characteristics are listed in a neatly organized list.
Picture/Graphic A picture or graphic of character is included. Examples of Acceptable Pics / Graphics: Pictures can be drawn. Pictures can be a collage of other images. Pictures can be a photograph of the student dressed up as their new God or Goddess. Picture may be created with a Voki or Avatar-creation website (Parent supervision advised).	Poor No picture or graphic is included.	Fair Picture or graphic does not relate to the character.	Good A picture or graphic of poor quality is displayed but it does tie to the character.	Excellent A good quality picture or graphic is displayed that ties to the character.
