Novel Study Memory Box 
Create a memory box containing things that are important to the main character. Make sure that you have at least eight to ten artifacts that would be important to or representative of your character. Write a description of these items and explain why you have included them.

Little creativity and imagination has been put into thought of items to be included. The box itself has not been decorated or is in fact missing and the materials were simply submitted.

Some creativity and imagination have been put into thought of items to be included. There is some variety as to the colour, shape, size, type (real, altered, newly fabricated) of object. The box itself was decorated with some effort.
Level Four (8-10 points)

Excellent sense of creativity and imagination has been put into thought of items to be included. There are a variety of real, altered and newly created items of various shapes, sizes colours, medium, etc. The box itself is attractive and creative. Much effort was put into its decoration.

Level Four (8-10 points)

With a high degree of effectiveness student was able to describe with meaning and detail, the object and its relevance or importance to the chosen character.

Many errors in spelling and punctuation. Language is simple, nondescript. Many errors in sentence construction.
Level 2-3 (6-7 points)

Two-three errors in spelling or punctuation. An attempt has been made at creative and descriptive language. Some/most sentences are well-constructed and complete.
Level Four (8-10 points)

No mistakes in spelling, puncatuation. Language is descriptive and creativity. Sentences are complete and well-constructed.
