Excellent
Student has the right amount of insulation inside of the box. The insulation has no cuts anywhere in the circuit.

Student has more than 1/2" but less than 1" of insulation in the box. The insulation has less than two places cut or ripped in the circuit.

Student has more than 1" of insulation in the box. The insulation has cuts or rips in more than two place in the circuit.
Poor
Student has no insulation in the box.
Wire nut connection
Excellent
Student has the wire nuts tight, no copper wire is showing from the wire nut.
Good
Student has the wire nuts tight, but copper wire is visible from under the wire nut.
Fair
Student has the wire nuts on the wire but is not tight and copper wire is showing from under the wire nut.
Poor
Student has no wire nuts on wires.
Screw terminal connections
Excellent
Student has the terminal screws tight with the wire hooks going the right way.
Good
Student has the terminal screws tight, but the wire hooks are going backwards.
Fair
Student does not have the terminal screws tight, the wire hooks either right or backwards.

Student does not have the wire connected to the terminal screws.

Student's wiring project has evenly bent wires, all wires are the same length, folded neatly in the box.

Student's wiring project has some evenly bent wires but not all the way through the project.
