This rubric is aimed at evaluating the PERFORMANCE of a lab experiment, rather than the REPORT. (I do not require a formal report for most labs - but would use a separate rubric for scoring one if I did)

Students partially record data and show lack of accuracy/care in making observations and recording data. Diagram (if required) is inaccurate and incomplete.

Students answer questions completely and accurately. Students make minor mistakes in recording data. Diagrams are mostly complete and accurate.
Excellent
Student answers questions completely and accurately records all required data and charts/graphs if required. Includes diagrams if required.

Directions were not followed and materials were mishandled and/or not used appropriately.Some materials not cleaned up and stored away properly.
Fair
Directions followed no inaccuracies. Student cleans up as directed and and all materials are cleaned up and stored properly.

Lab Etiquette
Students will have 2 points deducted for each of the following infractions.
Talking loudly and being disruptive during the lab.
Walking around and playing in the lab.
