Following Directions 1. Fold paper in half hamburger style and write simile on one side and metaphor on the other.<BR> 2. Write either a simile or metaphor using complete sentences.<BR> 3. Illustrate the meaning of your similie or metaphor.	Good Student follows directions completely.	Fair Student somewhat follows directions for assignment.	Poor Student does not follow directions.
Work Ethic 1. Works quietly at desk. 2. Works independently not needing to ask for help. 3. Is willing and able to help others if needed	Good Student completes work quietly at desk not desturbing any other students and is willing to help others when needed.	Fair Student partially completes work and is working quietly at desk 75% of the time.	Poor Student does not complete work and will not stay seated and quiet while working.
Product 1. Completes product following all directions given. 2. Product is neat and complete to best of students ability	Good Student completes independent work on his/her own without assistance and displays strong understanding.	Fair Student completes part of the independent work on his/her, but asks for help as needed.	Poor Student is unable to complete independent work on his/her own and does not ask for help.
