Articulation	missing No real attempt at articulation is being made.	needs work Difficulty with tonguing slurring patterns and/or accents.	doing ok Student usually follows the articulation marked but there are frequent or repeated small errors.	very good Almost all articulation patterns are correct with only an occasional small error.	excellent All articulations are performed correctly.
Pitch Accuracy	missing No recognizable tune is present.	needs work Many notes are incorrect - student seems unfamiliar with the notes.	doing ok Shows a good feel for the notes in the piece but there are frequent or repeated small mistakes	very good Mostly correct with a few errors in pitch.	excellent Pitches are correct and has a quality sound for that instrument.
