The story of the comic is mostly clear and organized, and it relates somewhat to the chosen myth.

The story is clear, well-organized, and retells or builds upon the chosen myth.
Proficient
The story is clear, well-organized, and engaging, and it builds upon the existing myth in an insightful way.
Purpose of Myth
Emergent
No attempt is made to show why this myth would have been told.
Developing
An attempt is made to explain the purpose of the myth, but it is not completely accurate.
Competent
The purpose of the myth is explained and included, and it is accurate.
Proficient
The purpose of the myth is explained, and the comic designer shows an understanding of its deeper meaning.
Quality of Product
Emergent
The comic looks as if the designer spent little time. The pictures/art and panel design are poor or random. There are fewer than nine panels.
Developing
The comic looks fairly well designed, but the pictures/art or panel design is lacking in a few ways. There are ten to twelve panels.
Competent
The comic looks well designed, and care has obviously been taken to select quality images and neatly arrange the panels. There are at least thirteen panels.
Proficient
A great deal of care has gone into the design of the comic. Quality images/art, proficient arrangement of panels. There are more than thirteen panels, and they add to the story.
