Fourth Year Piano Assessment Rubric 
This is a PIANO RUBRIC to assess my students whether they have mastered or if they are growing towards mastery for this second quarter. It is a big help for me and also to my fellow students so that I can be able to distinguish and identify they're difficulty and what areas I can improve upon.

The position of fingers
is completely improper. The performer shows irritability and nervousness while doing the activity.

The position of fingers is still inaccurate. The performer shows nervous and tense while doing the activity.
Good

The position of fingers is slightly observed, but it has to be improved. The performer shows a little nervous while doing the activity.
Excellent

The position of fingers are totally correct and shows confidence while doing the activity.
Rhythm

Is the rhythm accurate or inaccurate?

Poor

The rhythm is completely inaccurate. The performer has difficulty reading rhythms.
Fair

The rhythm is still highly inaccurate with some minor improvements.
Good

The rhythm is at an acceptable level, but could still be improved.
Excellent

The rhythm is nearly outstanding in every detail.
Recognition

The performer does not recognize any major part of the music.

The performer can identify some minor aspects of the music.

Are the notes accurate or inaccurate?

The performer cannot play the correct notes.
Fair

The performer still cannot play the notes completely correct, but has minor improvements.

The performer can play the notes with some ease.

The performer can play 98%-100% of the notes correctly with ease.
