Set Up

PROFICIENT

Students work area was clean. All tools and implements were set out neatly on a sanitary drape. Their client was comfortably seated at their workstation.
DEVELOPING

Student work area was clean. Student was missing tools and implements that were needed for the procedure. A sanitary drape was in place. The client was seated at the station.
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT

Student had complete disregard for all set up procedures.
Sanitation and Disinfection

PROFICIENT

Students work area was sanitary. All implements and equipment were sanitized and disinfected when appropriate. Student used universal precautions to her/himself and the client safe
DEVELOPING

Students work area was partially cleaned. Tools and implements were sanitized and disinfected but some steps were not performed up to sanitation and disinfection standards. Student did not follow all proper procedures for using universal precautions.

Student had complete disregard for all sanitation procedures. The client and the practitioners health was in danger at all times.

Students work area was sanitized and disinfected after the manicure procedure. All tools. implements, and equipment were put back in their proper storage area. No items were left behind for the instructor to clean.;
