Model Rubric Diorama Rubric Build a model of a historic item (plane, weapon, building). Research your choice and write one to two paragraphs about your model. Appearance of Project and creativity	Excellent Great care taken in construction process so that the structure is neat and attractive.	Good Construction was careful and accurate for the most part, but 1-2 details could have been refined for a more attractive product.	Fair Construction accurately followed the plans, but 3-4 details could have been refined for a more attractive product.	Poor Construction appears careless or haphazard. Many details need refinement for a strong or attractive product.
Accuracy	Excellent The model is exemplary and suggests the student did excellent research.	Good The model is good and suggests the student some research.	Fair The model is fair and suggests the student did little or no research	Poor The model is poor and suggests the student has done any research.
Images and Models	Excellent The model is exceptionally attractive in terms of design, layout and neatness	Good The model is attractive in terms of design, layout and neatness.	Fair The model is acceptably attractive though it may be a bit messy.	Poor The model is distractingly messy or very poorly designed. It is not attractive.
Written Element/MLA Format	Excellent The written aspect of the project is complete and includes at least two work cited resources. The written aspect contains appropriate in-text citations.	Good The written aspect is good but, does not contain enough in-text citations.	Fair The written aspect is incomplete and contains little information about the historical model. No work cited. The written aspect is lacking in in-text citations. The written aspect does not follow MLA format.	Poor The written information about the historical model was not turned in.
