Knowledge/Rhythm/Tempo Ability to execute movement in time with the music. Correct placement of hands, feet, legs	Poor Gets off beat and speeds up or falls behind often. Doesn't follow beat in music.	Fair Shows a basic understanding of tempo and beat, but sometimes fall behind and/or speeds up in places or makes errors in rhythm.	Good Accurate most of the time in beat, tempo, rhythms of dance sequences.	Excellent Combines locomotor movement patterns and dance steps to create and perform an original dance. Combines locomotor skills in cultural as well as creative dances (self & group) with correct rhythm and pattern. Demonstrates correct rhythm and pattern for one of the following dance forms: folks social, creative, line, or world dance
Effort Effort and cooperation to learn dance	Poor Did not participate in the majority of the time spent learning the dance.	Fair Some effort put forth to learn the dance.	Good Cooperative most of the time.	Excellent Worked hard to learn the dance.
