Parts of a Letter LA 3.1.2	Excellent Writes all four parts of the letter: Greeting, Body, Salutation, Signature	Proficient Writes three of the four parts of a friendly letter.	Basic Writes two to three of the four parts of a friendly letter.	Limited Writes none of the four parts of a friendly letter.
Sentence Structure LA 3.4.2	Excellent All sentences have correct punctuation and capitalization and spacing. Writing is neat.	Proficient Each sentence has correct punctuation and capitalization and spacing. Writing is neat.	Basic There are 1-3 punctuation or capitalization errors. Contains little legible writing and use of spacing between letters and words	Limited There are many punctuation and capitalization errors. Sentences are poorly written and structured. Writing is not legible with no spacing between words.
