Shows that he is managing his emotions some of the time but needs reminders to gauge his emotions during the day and help to identify appropriate strategies when at a 3 or above.
Achieving

Is able to self-regulate his emotions. He is able to verbally explain the correct calming strategy that he can use when reachihng a 3 or above.
Manages time on task

Follows limits and expectations for work completion as assigned by teachers.

Is not working at a reasonable pace and is off task during class work time. Needs 3 or more re-directs during class time but does not respond to them.
Emerging/progressing

Is attempting to work and stay focused but needs 1 or 2 re-directs and responds appropriately.
Achieving

Manages work at a reasonable pace and stays focused most of class time. Shows that he is using responsible time management.
Self-advocacy

Will initiate talking to teachers about assignments or tests.

Not Yet emergaing

Relies on teachers for reminders to complete homework and turn it in. Teacher needs to help with reducing amount of assigned work or indicate need to re-take a quiz with a low score. Does not initiate teacher input.
Emerging/progressing

Shows that he is completing homework as assigned but does not consistently turn it in without teacher request. Needs teacher assist for reminders of make-up work missing or te-taking tests.
Achieving

Showing independence on homework completion. Takes responsibility for asking the teacher for reduced problems or to re-take a test. Takes responsibility for himself and his school work.
