Relief Printmaking

Design/Composition	Excellent Work The design is superior in skill and concept and fills the space in a creative or original way.	Meets Expectations The design is legible and competent in skill or concept, yet fills the space in an expected or pat manner.	Needs Improvement The design is legible but limited in skill or concept. The space is not filled in an interesting manner.	Unsatisfactory The student's design / composition shows limited or no preplanning. The space filled in an awkward or illegible manner.
Printmaking	Excellent Work Two prints are turned in and all are of excellent quality.	Meets Expectations Two prints in the edition are turned in. The prints are of very good quality, with even paint coverage and crisp edges.	Needs Improvement Two prints in the edition are turned in. One print is of good quality, with even coverage and crisp edges .	Unsatisfactory Two or fewer prints turned in. The prints are messy, damaged or smeared.
Cooperation/Cleanup	Excellent Work The student is almost always on task in the studio, follows the directions for the project the first time they are given, and cleans up their work area in a timely fashion.	Meets Expectations The student is on task, follows directions for the project, and cleans up his/her work area in a timely fashion.
