Okra Poem The students are writing an acrostic poem using adjectives that describe okra. Rubric Code: F6X9B7 By AshleyGN Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: English Type: Assignment Grade Levels: K-5

Okra Poem
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 3 pts	Good 5 pts
Creativity	Poor The student only placed the words on the paper for the poem.	Fair The student used some sort of variety of color in their poem.	Good The student decorated the paper with the poem using lots of color and designs in and around the poem.
Use of Vocabulary	Poor The student used very simple below grade level words for each letter of the poem.	Fair The student used some grade level words with others below grade level.	Good The student used very intellegent, well chosen and creative words to describe the word and topic for the poem.
Format	Poor The student did not use the correct format of the acrostic poem. The words did not match up with the letter they were supposed to. The student mispelled their main word being used for the base of the poem.	Fair The student did use the correct format and did spell their main word for the base of the poem correctly. The student did misuse some of the beginning letters for the words in the poem.	Good The student did use correct format, correct spelling, and all of the words did start with the correct letter for each part of the poem.
