Treble Clef	Surpasses Expectations Student easily names and notates all notes on the treble clef staff including two notes above and below the staff.	Meets Expectations Student can identify and draw the Treble Clef Lines and Spaces	Some Understanding Student understands the placement of the treble clef and is able to name some of the notes and place or draw some of them on the staff.	Little or No Understanding Student cannot identify or notate any of the notes on the Treble Clef.
Rhythm Read and play rhythms using classroom rhythm instruments.	Surpasses Expectations Student can easily play assigned selections alone or with class at a steady tempo and is able to read some patterns without prompting.	Meets Expectations Student plays most of the assigned selections with the class at a steady beat.	Some Understanding Student plays some of the assigned selections with the class using a steady beat some of the time.	Little or No Understanding Student cannot read and play assigned selections with the class.
