There is no discernible form or phrasing, the piece is completely unorganized.

There is a general lack of phrasing and there are only one or two sections.

There is some lack of clarity in the form. Some of the phrases are hard to discern from each other or it is difficult to hear different sections.
Excellent

The piece has a clear, well-defined form. There are clear melodic and/or lyrical phrases and several well-defined sections.

All members of the group should have equal involvement in the performance/composition.

One person carries the entire performance, with one or more students not doing anything.

Several students have parts that add nothing, and one or more students are not participating at all.

All members of the group have a part that is integral to the overall sound and presentation of the piece. Any missing parts would take away from the performance.
