The students will construct a project to show during their oral presentation. The project and presentation will contain relevant information related to the lives of Americans who expanded people's rights and freedoms in a democracy.

Exceeds
The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Good
The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this project and presentation.
Fair
Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Poor
Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Oral Speaking Presentation
Exceeds
Voice was clear, maintained eye contact, excellent posture. Student was extremely knowledgable about individual studied.
Good
While student's posture was good, voice was fair and easy to hear with sufficient eye contact
Fair
Student's posture was good, voice was difficult to understand, limited eye contact.
Poor
Student had trouble reading the information off notes, was not secure in information about individual. Voice was quiet difficult to hear. Posture was poor, moving all around. Poor eye contact.
