Usually looks straight ahead with some arm movement.

Looks straight ahead while running and feet and arms are moving in a straight line in the direction of movement.
Sliding

Sideways movement where the lead foot moves and is followed by the other foot.

Movement resembles gallop or feet cross.
Proficient

Movement is sideways but feet sometimes cross.
Excelling

Consistent sideways movement with either foot leading and feet do not cross.
Leaping

To spring or bound upward from from one foot and landing on the opposite foot

Little to no balance on one foot on take off or on opposite foot when landing
Proficient

Ability to balance and take off on one foot but has lack of balance landing on one foot or lands on both feet
Excelling

Can take off from one foot and land on the opposite foot while maintaining their balance
