Excellent bow arm. Right hand is flexible and fluid. Elbow and shoulder are aiding sound. Great contact point and natural weight
Posture

Needing Individual Attention

Student slouches with back resting at the back of the chair. Legs/feet are
crossed. Left elbow touches leg(violin) or back of the cello. Instrument is not held correctly.
Below Grade Level

Student slouches with back resting at the back of the chair.
Arms are somewhat free. Instrument is not held correctly. It is often angled in an extreme way. Student's head is turned in an uncomfortable and unheathy angle.
At Beginning of Grade Level

Student's posture is inconsistent. Usually sits well in the chair and at the edge. Instrument is not held properly. Angle or tilt needs adjustment. Student's arms are free and head held in a healthy way.
At Grade Level

Student sits tall in the chair, but not at the edge. The student's back is not well supported by the placement of flat feet on the floor. some adjustment is still necessary in placement of instument. Cello tilt or length of endpin. Violin shoulder rest type.
Above Grade Level

Student sits tall and at the edge of the chair with feet flat on the floor. The instrument is held properly allowing for free and flexible movement including shifting, vibrato and clear string crossing with the bow.
